This blog was created to move some of the contests we had at the Xavier Media blog away so we could focus that blog on more webmaster related stuff instead of holding weekly contests.

How is this contest thing working?

You get one entry in the contest for every time you drop your Entrecard at this site. If you for example drop your card here every day for a week, then you get 7 chances of winning , which means that it pays off by dropping here every day. The contest starts over every week when the lucky winner is selected.

How is the jackpot calculated?

Every time someone drops their Entrecard at this site the jackpot for that week is increased by one credit. If we get 100 drops during one week, then the jackpot will be 100 Entrecard credits

If the jackpot for some reason is less then 50 credits then it’s set to 50 (just to make it something worth winning ). The jackpot is calculated twice per day and the picture in the menu is also updated at the same time. The whole process is completely automated, even the random selection of the lucky winners.

What’s the “bonus jackpot”?

Starting with contest number 8 we added something we call bonus jackpot. That’s a small bonus for all our friends  adding our banners on their blogs or web sites. By linking to us you get a chance of winning the bonus jackpot. Read more here.

How is the bonus jackpot calculated?

The bonus jackpot is 20% of the jackpot. If for example the jackpot is 601 Entrecard credits one week, then the bonus jackpot will be 600 EC * 0.20 =  120 EC that same week. The bonus winner is announced at the same time as the jackpot winner.

How do I know if I won?

You can subscribe to our feed since all winners are automatically published in the “Winners in our contests” category.
